Dan Focsan - Painters

I was born in Nadrag, district Timis, Romania, 24 May, 1958. Even since my childhood I plunged into a mirage of nature and colors that fascinated me. That was the very first impulse to go study Fine Arts. In my youth, I attanded a 8 years course at the School of Fine Arts where I significantly improved my skills in all kinds of portrait tehniques and oil paintings.

In 1988, I was granted the National Comitee of Culture and Art Certificate as a Proffesional Painter.

In these years of study I have become aware of the beautiful and the complexity of the human look as well as the plain-air landscapes. In my conception, each subject's character and state of mind represent a challange for me.

The most part of my paintings are to be found in my own local art gallery and in several private collections in United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Spain, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and all over the world.
