| I have developed my work through figurative abstracts to the study of the
male and female nude. I feel that the language of the body is a common language, one that
is universally understood. I have had formal training at various stages of my career, including anatomy and figure drawing, but still consider that I am self-taught. I believe painting has to have its own presence, people react to a picture in ways you cannot analyse. Paintings are simultaneously graphic and emotive and above all to be enjoyed. |
