| From 1966-70 I trained as a Graphic Designer
at Leeds and Stoke on Trent Colleges of Art. From 1976-92 I had my own gallery at Piece Hall, Halifax, West Yorkshire. From 1976-95 I had numerous exhibitions, including many at Universities, most recently at Langwith College, University of York November 1995. From 1992-95 I held an annual Open Studio. Also on each Bank Holiday (end of May and late August), I participate an exhibition of original paintings at the Valley Gardens, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. From 1992 - 2003 I have held an annual Open Studio or a major exhibition. Also on each Bank Holiday (end of May and late August), I participate in an exhibition My work consists of the interpretation and development of ideas inspired by fantasy literature. The medium is Rembrandt Artist Fluid Colour (TM) and alkyd resin (oil-based) paints thinned and "floated" on melamine coated board, plus microporous paints and oil paints mixed with "liquin" and thinned with white spirit. The colours are applied randomly and the imagery is "coaxed out". Update: My next major exhibition will be: 25 - 27 July 2006 - group exhibition in the Sun Pavilion, Valley Gardens, Harrogate (as part of the Harrogate Festival fringe and replacing the usual August Bank Holiday event).
